Picking the best time to visit Kauai is super important. Keep in mind, my idea of the perfect time to go might not be the same as what you think is the best time of year. A few factors most travelers usually consider are things like costs, how crowded it might be, and what the weather will be like.
Pricing
Kauai is one of the more expensive Hawaiian island to visit, so if you're save on your trip, plan your visit during the shoulder seasons. Traveling to Kauai usually costs the most from mid-December to March and during the summer months of June ━ August. Kauai's shoulder season is in April and May, or from September through November, you can usually save up to 30% on accommodations and activities. Expedia is a great spot to find awesome deals on flights, hotels, and vacation packages, making it easy and budget-friendly to plan your trips. I always recommend starting there when beginning to plan a trip for the best options and savings.

Crowd Size
Kauai is usually less crowded in April, May, September, and October. Do these months sound familiar? That is because these are the shoulder seasons! If you prefer a quieter and more intimate experience, I highly suggest traveling during the shoulder seasons. This allows you to enjoy fewer tourists and more space at popular destinations, plus you can take advantage of the lower prices on hotels and activities!
Weather
Kauai has a tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 70°F to 85°F throughout the year, making this island an ideal travel destination all year round. The warmest months are from June to September, where temperatures often exceed 85°F, ideal for water and beach activities. December to February tend to be the coldest months, with daytime highs in the low 80s and nighttime temperatures around 70°F, depending on where you're traveling from, you may want bring a light jacket. The island receives the majority of its rainfall between November and March, with January typically being the wettest month.. By getting a handle on these seasonal trends, travelers can plan their trips better to enjoy sunny beaches or lush landscapes.
